Ann Romney’s Horsey Cake
Ann Romney celebrated her 63rd birthday at Donald Trump’s house on Tuesday, where for $1,000 per plate or $2,5000 per VIP meet-and-greet, guests were subjected treated to a “Cake Boss” creation featuring Ann on a horse.
Meanwhile, Ann’s real-life Grand Prix dressage horse, Rafalca, ridden by Jan Ebeling, is set to compete in the World Cup Finals in s’-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, which opened yesterday. According to ABC News, the Romneys will not be in attendance:
The World Cup finals for the elite sport of dancing horses, known as dressage, opened today in the Netherlands without the presence of two of its most prominent wealthy devotees, Mitt and Ann Romney. The Romneys’ horse, Rafalca, will compete, however, performing to music personally selected by the Republican presidential candidate.
ABC News also reports that Mitt chose “selections from the soundtracks to ‘Rainman’ and ‘The Mission’ ” for Rafalca’s freestyle.
Ann’s birthday soiree raised more than $600,000 for Mitt’s presidential campaign, and her cake, which featured green grass frosting and what appear to be fondant tree stumps, was crafted by TLC TV’s “Cake Boss” star Buddy Valastro.
