Wednesday Morning Feed from World Equestrian Brands

What’s “The View” between your horse’s ears? Eventing Nation showcases views from around the world as part of this cool series.

Here a few recent submissions:

From Elaina Anglin in Pennsylvania: “These ears belong to Stix, my first event horse, who is coming 30 years old this winter but still enjoys going out on the trail. The picture was taken in New Florence, Pa., on the trails near where I board my horses. I got Stix as a Christmas present 16 years ago.”

From Sara Beal in California: “This was taken during a sunset at the lovely Twin Rivers Ranch in Paso Robles, Calif. The ears belong to General Gonzo, owned by Twin Rivers Ranch’s owner Connie Baxter. The sunsets are epic here!”

From Tammy Karplus in Iceland: The ears belong to Enja, an Icelandic mare. We’re riding in the forest near Kiruna, in northern Sweden, above the Arctic Circle. We had just passed a moose and her calf, but they were a little too far away and too many trees to capture a picture with an iPhone.

From Brian Rutledge in Oregon: “This was taken on an elk Hunting trip, and we went all over the mountains on horseback near Fossil, Ore., on an Indian reserve. The horse I am on is named Red. Red has walked across America twice with his owner, Ezra Cooley, who did it to raise support for children’s cancer research, and he invited me out to hunt with him. I couldn’t have asked for a better horse to take care of me up some of the steepest mountains I have ever seen.”

From Nadia Novac in Idaho: “My mare Georgie and I went for a hack in late November — nearly unheard of to have no snow on the ground here in Idaho this time of year. It’s our day to not work on anything and instead just enjoy the beauty around us. With the dogs way in the lead, we all had a great Sunday afternoon!”

From Britney Hensman in Kentucky:

Here’s a view looking at the statue of Bruce Davidson at the Rolex stadium. Halo and I were hacking on the Kentucky Horse Park grounds during the Hagyard Midsouth Horse Trials. What a neat thing to be able to see while hacking at the horse park. Halo sure used it as inspiration for the weekend.
