Video du Jour II: Australian beach horse rescue

Perhaps you’ve seen the dramatic photos of Astro, the horse who was stuck in mud at a beach in Victoria and rescued within minutes of the tide coming in. Here is footage from the scene:

Thanks to Lorraine Jackson for the tip and for the link to this interview with owner Nicole Graham, who explains that she had no idea that she and Astro’s story had made it around the world. “I haven’t seen any of that at all, it’s just incredible” she told ninemsn. “I looked at a photo gallery and they were so horrible I haven’t been back on the internet since.”
