Let’s Discuss: Mounting from a high mounting block

Last week, we showed you a video from Centaur Biomechanics shot at 300 frames per second of a woman mounting her horse from the ground. Now here’s a video of the same woman mounting her horse from a high mounting block.

Click here to watch the ground mounting video for comparison. What do you notice? The saddle clearly slides much less when the woman mounts from a high mounting block, as opposed to the large amount of torque that’s caused when she ground mounts.
