News: ‘Horse rescued from hayloft after wandering upstairs’

That’s the headline from a story published yesterday in the L.A. Times about a horse that apparently knows how to climb stairs.

According to the story, “The crafty 4-year-old horse, named Crikey, made his way up the stairs to a hayloft on Monday afternoon. Julia Swain’s granddaughter found him upstairs, munching happily on hay.”

The horse was eventually sedated and rescued by firefighters, who hoisted him through the barn door. The owner remarked that Crikey woke up feeling like he’d been to “a very bad Christmas party.”
