Likes: sandwich crust (“she was sniffing at my peanut butter and jelly sandwich, I gave it to her and she only ate the crust off”). Dislikes: fat people (“she will try to kick up”).

small horse standard bred/pony mix – $200 (greenbrier, tn)
Young mare, standard bred/pony mix, about 6-7 years old. Solid black, my husband bought her based on the fact it was said she was trained by the Amish to pull a buggy. We do not have a buggy, nor the equipment. So really have no idea if she really is. She is green broke to ride, and I thought I would work with her some, but I became pregnant with our 4th shortly after getting her. My daughters like playing with her, she is a sweet girl. She doesn’t mind being saddled up and small children lead around on her. But she doesn’t like heavier people on her, she will try to kick up, but flex her and she stops. My husband has ridden her and a total beginner has ridden her as well, both a bit big for her, but she did fine, she just wasn’t in any hurry to move…lol.
She would make a good project horse for a young person, she is not tiny, I would guess maybe 13 hands, maybe a bit more. Or she would make a good companion horse.
