Is 2017 long enough ago that we can call it a classic? We’re saying yes.

Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event rolls into Lexington next week, and we’re getting pumped: the best eventers in the nation will take over the Kentucky Horse Park for the 5* event, facing the toughest cross-country track in North America and the stiffest competition on the continent.

There are many great performances that have rocked the bluegrass in past years, but one recent favorite is 2017 Best Ride of the Day by Erin Sylvester aboard Mettraise. Looking at times like they’re just casually cantering around the park, this pair also displays the grit and quick-footedness necessary to be a proper 5* eventer: watch their entire cross-country performance here.
