Jimmy Van Der Hoeven and Guaranteed A Magnum are your 2018 NRHA Derby Level 4 and 3 Open Finals Champions!

At the end of June, the eyes of the reining world are on Oklahoma City as the best four-, five- and six-year-old horses come together to compete for hundreds of thousands of dollars in purses. With non-pro and open competition plus youth events, the NRHA Derby traditionally draws some of the best in the nation.

And the king of them all this year Jimmy Van Der Hoeven aboard Guaranteed A Magnum. Few riders want to be the pathfinder in the class, but Van Der Hoeven drew that number-one position in the order of go, and laid down a score of 225 that would prove to go unbeaten all night long on Guaranteed A Magnum, owned by Casey and Kathy Hinton.
