Best of JN: 10 Times Breitling LS Was a Star

The indisputable champion of Beezie Madden’s string, Breitling LS is a total rockstar. Here are 10 photos to prove it.

Beezie Madden was first paired with Breitling LS in 2013 and the now 12-year-old stallion has been nothing short of impressive during their time together. This year alone they have captured the victory in the $205,000 CaptiveOne Grand Prix CSI4* and the $205,000 Lugano Diamonds Grand Prix CSIO4* at WEF, along with coming in a close second in the $100,000 Longines World Cup Qualifier at HITS Coachella.

And now the duo can add the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final to their list of achievements. With only one rail all weekend long, Breitling LS made it clear from day one that he was the horse to beat. Thanks to a little help from our friends at Kentucky Performance Products we have rounded up some images of this impressive stallion doing what he does best: kicking tail and taking names.

“I had Richie and Denis behind me, so I needed to go as fast as I was comfortable with him,” said Madden. “He’s actually become such a fun horse in the jump-offs because he has gotten quite fast. He’s careful, and I feel like every time that I’m in a jump-off, I have a really good chance. I put a nice slice on [fence] one. I think I was quite fast to fence two, fast to fence three. I slipped a little bit in that turn [to the double combination]. I thought maybe somebody could get me there. Then again the last turn was really good as well; I think I was pretty tight there.” -Beezie Madden on winning the $205,000 CSI04* Grand Prix with Abigail Wexner’s Breitling LS at WEF 8, 2018.
