World Equestrian Brands Helmet Cam: ‘Lear’ XC

If you loved “Lear,” aka Fly With Me, aka Sir Teddy, in the Retired Racehorse Project’s Thoroughbred Makeover, you’ll love riding along with him at Poplar Place!

Elisa Wallace might be our champion of helmet cams — she keeps us well-supplied with a constant stream of rides from her string of upper-level mounts as well as training projects, including her famous mustangs Hwin and Rune and more recently her OTTB Thoroughbred Makeover projects.

Elisa wowed the crowd with an impressive bridleless routine in the Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover freestyle competition, where she tied for first, aboard her mount “Lear,” who has been competing under the name Fly With Me. He was Jockey Club registered as Sir Teddy in his racing days and is now owned by Mike, Maddie and Michele Chisholm.

When he’s not loping around casually with no bridle sidepassing over barrels, Lear is training for eventing, and recently galloped happily around the Novice Horse course with Elisa Wallace at Poplar Place:

We could watch those little black-tipped ears prick forward at the fences all day long! And Elisa’s charming running commentary (“no, you’re not jumping that, trust me”) is always entertaining too.

Go riding!
