Video: And the Bucket-Wrecking Culprit Is…

Mystery solved.

Buckets are indispensable at the barn, yet they always seem to disappear when I need them most. On the flip side, I’ll end up with a thousand spare buckets, but they all have cracks, broken handles, or are smashed beyond recognition. I always blamed the “bucket trolls” — sneaky little monsters who steal or destroy all the buckets when no one is looking.

Lindsay Jensen found her own special “bucket troll” right in her own pasture:

Who needs squeaky toys or exercise balls when you have a 5 gallon bucket to play with? It’s the simple things in life, really.

[Editor’s disclaimer: buckets are generally not recommended as a good “toy” for horses. Any equine toy should be used under supervision, like the horse in this video was under supervision.]

Go riding!
