Just 24 Hours Left to Enter ‘Summer Blockbuster,’ Presented by Absorbine

Only one day left to recreate your favorite movie scene with your horse and send it our way for a chance to win an Absorbine prize pack valued at over $480! Click here for contests details.

Jut a few hours left to enter our summer contest: we’ve partnered with Absorbine to present “Summer Blockbuster,” in which we want to see you reenact your favorite movie scene with your horse in either photo or video format. We all know we’ve done it: we’ve pretended we’re Alec riding The Black down the beach or we’re Charlie finishing the final fateful fence aboard Sylvester. Or perhaps you’ve subbed your horse in for Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon or reenacted one of the brief horse scenes from Lord of the Rings.

In case you need a little inspiration, we reenacted one of our fave iconic scenes — the Chris-Pratt-tames-the-velociraptors bit from Jurassic World.

Here’s how to enter:

  • Reenact a scene from your favorite movie and capture the scene on video or photo.
  • Send the video or photo to [email protected] and include the following information: your name, the name of the photographer or videographer, and a brief description of the scene with the title of the film. (You don’t have to choose a horse film — sub your horse in for, say, Ryan Gosling in The Notebook if you’re feeling creative and can teach him to row a boat.)
  • Entries are due by Wednesday, July 27 at midnight!
  • Finalists will be selected and voting will open for the best reenacted scene.

And remember to keep it safe! There will be no bonus points for reenacting dangerous scenes like the end of Man From Snowy River or Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken; we don’t mind seeing a riding helmet even if the original scene included a cowboy hat … understand what we mean?

Lights, camera, action, Horse Nation! We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
