Best of Craigslist: Baby on a Horse — Classic!

Reader Debra saw Wednesday’s “Best of Craigslist” headliner featuring a 2-year-old on a Belgian Draft and raised us THIS.

She writes, “Don’t ya love it? An infant on the horse? For what f’n purpose??? And the horse has ‘asthma.’ Oh yeah.”

Paint horse mare for sale $500 – $500 (Fox Lake)

This sweet mare has been mainly used for trail riding. She is great for vet, farrier, trailering and baths. She is UTD on shots and hooves. She comes with papers. She is trust worthy and will take you anywhere you ask her to go.
*She does have asthma*

Wow. This one, from Rebecca, sounds legit: “Sometimes you just need to have a horse… any horse….”

wanted free horse please

Hey I would like to get a free horse I can provide a vet reference I need no older than 10 and no unbroken please

Lorraine stumbled across this one for a horse with some, uh, issues: “For better or worse, this ad was marked as ‘sold’ less than an hour after it went live.”

But then… drama! Apparently, the buyer discovered that the horse really was as bad as advertised. From Lorraine: “There is a followup from the seller. I die. Only on the Utah/Idaho border, I swear. It’s the American West’s rival to Pennsatucky. There was clearly another ad intermingled with these two that was removed before I got to it… a terrible shame.”

Mary sent us this one: “Sounds like a great horse, but I thought it was hilarious that they called him an ‘Unraced OTTB.'”

Gorgeous Chestnut Gelding UNRACED OTTB with sweet personality and beautiful gaits!

Kentucky bred, Agape (aka “Antonio G”), is half-brother to Kentucky Derby winner “Animal Kingdom”. Approx. 16.2, 4yr old TB (4 on February 1st); Attractive, very sensible, good mover and jumper, and show hunter prospect. Agape is an awesome prospect to make up as a very fancy show hunter, jumper, or eventer. He is unraced and sound. He has the most extravagant, lovely gaits one could ever ask for. This guy has an awesome trot and canter to die for in any show hunter ring. He is a February 1st foal and is very mature for his age. Agape has started over small fences and uses himself very well. He has a great front end and is very tidy with his knees. He is a poor mans version of a fancy warmblood. Agape has a wonderful, sweet personality and needs a rider who is experienced with green OTTB horses. Currently he is being trained by a professional, price will increase as training progresses.

And, from Susan, an ad for “a stud that has been cut?”
