Freeze fire marks is another name for pinfiring. Pinfiring is the treatment of an injury to a horse’s leg by burning or freezing it with acid or chemicals. Its supposed to induce a counter-irritation and speed/improve healing. There is a theory that it “toughens” the leg of the horse. You won’t see it as much today as you would a decade ago. Its actually pretty gross.
