Weekend Roll Call
What are your plans for the weekend? Me, I’m going to stay home and catch up on some housekeeping (after I ride my horses and probably hang out at the barn all day, of course).
Having been out of town for training or horse trials every weekend for the past month, the dishes have been piling up–among other things. Here’s a sampling of items on my domestic to-do list:
Find the bottom of the hamper
Try to stop the plants from dying
Trim the hedges before they overtake the house completely

After the anxiety surrounding the on-again-off-again dressage show–will the weather be rideable for a youngster going to her first show?–and practicing when I didn’t even know if I’d make it there, both all my mares and I are taking a week off. This weekend we’re going to be lounge lizards, and after I’ve cleaned stalls/paddocks I may do a bit of retail therapy to calm nerves set on end by the aforementioned on-again-off-again dressage show. I feel like the “fretful porpentine” from Jabberwocky fame. Whew.
Sounds like you deserve it!!! “Fretful porpentine,” lol, we’ve all been there.
