True Confessions: What’s your ‘number’?

Not that number, silly! The number of times you’ve fallen off a horse. Leave your own “number” in the comments section below!

And yes, that’s me in the photo, fixing to go for a swim.

Who keeps track? It’s been too many times to count.

  2. Jon says:

Why would I want to count. BUt I know I have tried to beat up the earth many times with my body. At least none of them is on video anywhere……I hope.

  3. LKB says:

I think it’s 13. I kinda stopped paying attention after 10. There is definitely video of at least one of them.

  4. Not sure either. It’s usually about once a year for me (been riding 11 years), but last year I had 3 falls. No fun!

  5. McKenna says:

Around 50 or so…about 35 of them off a certain beast…live and learn, right?! :)

  6. Jocelyn says:

Not as many times as I probably should have over the years…surprsingly.

McKenna… 50 or so???? Girl you need a seat belt!! ;)

  7. MEL says:

5 since August. And I was coming off about once a year up until my green ottb mare came into my life 18 months ago…

  8. Emily says:

Wayyyy too many times to count…. although i’ve only fallen off my horse merlin four (or is it three??) times :)

  9. barb says:

After 42 years, I am lucky I can keep track of where the barn is let alone how many times I have fallen off!

  10. Lisa says:

My best guess is 70. Most of them are too far back to remember, but when I came back to riding after 35 years away, the number in my head was 68, and the pony I bought added 2. That’s riding and a lot of jumping from age 6 to 21.

  11. Sharon says:

It’s called earning your real estate license!

  12. Jon says:

I added one two weeks ago when I purchased more real estate during a really bad spook. The horse got some too. Stupid deer.

  13. Too many times to count or want to remember! Lets just hope the old saying “the more time you fall off the better rider you’ll become” is true!

  14. eventgirl says:

Only once off my new horse. That I’ve had for a summer… but I do remember trying to fall off on purpose a lot on my first pony. For some reason I really enjoyed sliding down his neck right in front of jumps…
