So much so that Renaldo purchased the paint after the TV series. Less valuable doubles were used for galloping scenes and stunts.

Even though I am old enough (cough) to have been alive when it was originally aired, I didn’t remember the show. I spent most of my time trying to figure out if they used the same horse in all the scenes. That is one flashy paint.
