Roll Call: What are you up to this weekend?
Me, I’m going to my first University of Tennessee football game since college. Sound off, Horse Nation: Tell us about your horsey (or not-horsey) plans!

TACK SHOP!!
Living two hours away makes this a major undertaking. Also hauling 25 cowboy hats to be shaped and cleaned.
I had no idea cowboy hats were so high maintenance. Tack shopping: always fun! Yay credit cards
For the next few weeks, my Lusitano mare and I will be practicing for her first dressage show. We’ll be doing Training level test 3. My instructor has me drawing the test movements, writing in all of the things I need to do to perform the movement well, then “riding”the test in my head as many times as I can, using the map of where to do what. She says that the human brain does not differentiate between actually riding the test, and riding it in your head, so my mental rides will let me do many more rides than I could ever do on my mare. She told me that visualizing a course, or a test, was taught to her by an eventing clinician, and the results of that visualization were absolutely amazing. I’ll spend all weekend “riding” the test every time I think of it.
Visualization IS an awesome technique. Maybe you or your instructor (who sounds very wise) should write an article about it for HN? Just sayin’…
Well, I was planning on going to a benefit trail ride, until my dog dug a hole in my WALL…That’s right….the wall…..looks like i’ll be replacing drywall instead of giving back to a great charity
What?!?!? How does a dog dig a hole in a WALL? Where did he think he was going??
yeah, a hole…not sure where she thought she was going, but obviously she wanted out!! looks like she might turn into an outside dog!!
My favorite barn hand (who happens to be my husband) is running his first mini-marathon in 25 years, so I will be out of the barn and on the streets cheering him on. Go, Horse Husband, Go!
Nice! Has he seen the “Horse Husbands United” Facebook page? Glenn from Horses in the Morning runs it and it’s HILARIOUS
Announcing at the GAIG/USDF Region 6 Championships. Perhaps I’ll see some of you there.
*Also, feel free to stop by and say ‘hi’ and tell me the correct way to pronounce your horse’s Gaelic name.
Where do you live? If you’re at the region 6 show, you must be in the NW. I’m in NW WA.
Actually I live in Reno, NV. The shows generally fly in their officials.
Oregon is beautiful. How do you like Washington?
