HN Classifieds: 2 yr old mare gonna bgreat
Reader Rachel Spencer sent us this Craigslist ad for a mare that sounds, um, very promising. Especially if the person who bought her started feeding her.

Cherry just turned 2 on June 18, 2012. She has been rode several times. She has been rode on trails and will cross logs and mud holes, will stand to mount. Very stylish and has speed potential. She is about 14’1 but measures to be 15 hands. Bred her mother because of her awesome capabilities. Really good genes. Cherry is 3/4 twh 1/4 rocky mountain. Bred for agility, holds her head and tail straight and high. Broad horse already at the age of 2. Hate to see her go, but we have 11 good horses and that is too many. She will need an assertive rider to get the best out of her, but she has never offered to Buck or rare. Call 606-224-2525.

They’ve been riding her at 2? How can she be 14.1 and measure 15 hands? Is it because they have small hands?
Yeah, that part confused me too. What?!?
I think they mean that by measuring her leg length she’ll probably grow to 15hh. The owner’s poor use of grammar scares me as much as riding a 2yr filly. The poor education doesn’t hurt the filly, though, but the poor horsemanship certainy will. ACK!
