		<description><![CDATA[Let&#039;s not forget its all about space too.  I&#039;ve heard estimates from 1/2 an acre to a full 2 acres per horse to be comfortable.  If you get even the most docile horses packed in like sardines bumps and bruises will get much worse.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[My equines are turned out for the day. They eat their breakfasts and dinners in their stalls and lunch is served in the turnout field. Their stalls have attached paddocks into which they can go in or out at their own choosing.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I agree with Kelsea: my 3 mares and 2 jennies have not had any serious injuries inflicted by one of their herdmates during turnout. Once the pecking order is established the herd coexists calmly. If you are too worried about bite marks or scratches to allow your horse substantial turnout, you need to exam the way you care for your horse&#039;s mental health. No turnout means as stressed, anxiety-ridden animal. If the show barn has no turnout, perhaps you should re-examine your priorities. Your horse&#039;s show career--and the availability of an instructor--should not trump your horse&#039;s &quot;horse-ness&quot;.]]></description>
