Video du Jour: Yeah, that’s not Rafalca

What do you think about this ad from MoveOn.org featuring a talking horse who claims to be Rafalca? Even from a bipartisan standpoint, I think it’s pretty annoying.

Yeah, that’s pretty stupid. Besides… how much his wife spent on her horse doesn’t have anything to do with whether or not he would be a good President.

  2. It’s just an easy thing to pick on him for. I am not a fan of Romney, but his wife’s part ownership of Rafalca has nothing to do with it. I don’t think it’s a secret that most presidential candidates, whether they are Democrats or Republicans, have much more money than the average American. In fact, I am very happy that dressage has made its way into the public consciousness through Steven Colbert and proud that Rafalca is representing the US in the London Olympics.

Using a horse–obviously not Rafalca–to do MoveOn.com’s dirty work is slimy, at best. If they thought their words had any weight, why didn’t they have an actual person say them, rather than an anonymous “Rafalca”? That’s just like Harry Reid’s “anonymous source” talking about Romney’s taxes. All MoveOn.com can do is carp about Romney’s money. At least Romney knows how to make money, and is spending his money in the US.

Indeed he does! Why is money a bad thing!!!!! I dont get it. With a country that has so much debt, the best thing for us is a leader who knows how to make a buck or two AND have a track record of getting large organizations out of debt. Such a simple concept!

I wonder how much money the billionaire George Soros (the power behind MoveOn.org)spends every year on himself? It’s no more my business how he spends his money than it is HIS business how the Romney’s spend their money. Oh yeah, this new gov’t (which was backed by Soros’s money)plans to make it their business how all of us spend our money.

A “buck or two”? Come on! He made much more than that at Bain while putting lots of Americans out of work. And lots of the $$ is NOT in the U.S. It sits in Swiss & Caymen Island accounts. But we can’t really know all the financial details because he still won’t release his tax returns.
I find this Rafalca ad funny. But what I’m not amused by is what happened with one of the Romney’s former horses, Super Hit. Read Dr. Soule’s report and decide on the honesty and ethics of Ann Romney, her vet and her trainer:

And don’t forget about the dog in the crate on the car roof.

If money is the “be all and end all” for Romney, why didn’t he take any money for being the governor of MA, or the head of the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics? Like others have said, we need a president that knows how to make money, rather than inflate our national debt to extraordinary levels. But the main point is: what his wife does with a horse has nothing to do with his ability to be president. As for the “dog crate incident”, don’t make me laugh.

Bether, I was obviously being sarcastic.

“while putting lots of Americans out of work.” Did you get that off of Obama’s anti-Romney infomercials? I’m sure of it. So do you think Romney’s Swiss bank accounts are illegal? I work for a Swiss bank, does that mean my income is illegal too? It’s a business.

Has he already been taxed up to 35% of his income?? To me, that’s outrageous when up to 40% of Americans pay NO INCOME TAX AT ALL. Romney is contributing millions of dollars to paying taxes, on top of giving his entire inheritance from his family away to charity. But the democrats keep wanting MORE hand outs from him. C’mon. Give me a break.

Anyway… Ralfalca’s test was lovely today. Great job Jan, and great job Rafalca!!

My favorite part about this was that – FINALLY – someone had the movements correct! While that wasn’t the best leg yield I’ve ever seen, at least it was a leg yield.
But, yeah, like everyone else, its annoying to have our beloved horses and (usually) favorite past time splashed all over the mainstream media and abused so!
